Lurista LLC1 is a privately owned Management Consultancy based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The business is owned and managed by Stewart Jack and Mark Freeman who are joined in the partnership by Jonathan Briggs. All are resident in Abu Dhabi, UAE and are very familiar with the region. Why the UAE? Stewart and Mark have worked in the UAE in the past and returned to the UAE in 2004 to establish their own business. Lurista was created to provide consultancy and practical advice to clients both inside and outside the region but with a view to doing business in the region and, more specifically, in the UAE. The brand of Dubai is well known outside of the UAE but, increasingly, the brand of Abu Dhabi is set to overtake and surpass that of Dubai. With oil selling close to $150 a barrel in 2008, Abu Dhabi has generated substantial liquidity. There have been headline grabbing high profile overseas purchases over the last decade for both Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but quietly Abu Dhabi has been building an alternative income base to its oil and gas revenues. Many have forgotten that in early 2008 ADIA1 broke their secrecy and revealed that they are the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund. Despite the continuing oil revenues Abu Dhabi will diversify its economy and is actively moving services and manufacturing on-shore. Lurista is involved in a number of related assignments.
